Hey everyone! It is with great pleasure that we introduce our new business – Mackay Marketing. Who are we? Well, we’re an online social media marketing agency nestled in the tree-lined mountains of the majestic Columbia-Shuswap. We develop creative social strategies that reach, influence, and engage your target audience. As a mighty mother-daughter duo, we aren’t afraid to conquer any mountain that comes our way.
We want you to get to know us and our business a little better, so we did some Q&A to get the ball rolling:
Michelle: It was a bit of an evolution for me as I climbed the corporate ladder and once I landed a marketing coordinator position, I was hooked. I love the process of developing strategies and then executing them for clients. I am a results-oriented person and it was rewarding to see the fruits of my labour.
Olivia: I absolutely love being creative whether it’s writing, photography, or graphics. Marketing allows me to craft a campaign that connects with a brand’s target audience. It’s the perfect mix of creativity and strategy.
Michelle: Facebook. I refer to it as an information highway. It’s my go-to place to find out what is going on in my community, what my favourite restaurants are featuring, how to find new businesses and many other ways to find new consumer products.
Olivia: Instagram. I love that Instagram is visually-focused. The photo or video has to speak for itself, which has the potential to be powerful. With the addition of Instagram Stories, the platform can really show the lifestyle of a person or brand.
Michelle: Social media has become the number one tool for marketing a business. Not only does it help keep your customers engaged with you and your businesses, it drives website traffic and increases your search engine optimization (SEO). Social media also helps increase trust in your business or brand. Being active on social media and developing your brand voice creates customer loyalty and trust.
Olivia: Social media is how we get our information and connect with other people. It’s how we communicate with our friends, family, and even our favourite businesses. Social media gives businesses a free platform to amplify their messages and authentically connect with their customers. As an added bonus, it can generate loyal customers and leads through consistent, quality, and engaging content.
Michelle: I would have to say Blind Bay and Shuswap Lake. It is an amazing community filled with wonderful people and the lake view from my house is breathtaking. I am thankful every day for our beautiful surroundings.
Olivia: White Lake! There’s nothing like taking the boat out on a fresh spring day with a line in the water.
